Looked like Neal didn't even realise Butcher was alongside him.

That was incredible. If Sutton had squeezed through a lap before, he'd have won that race. He is such a talent

It looked like Neal turned left a bit.

Well done to Jackson. I've never rated him but he legitimately drove well there and won the race fair & square. Here I was thinking his performance at Brands was a one-off.

From the rear angle I thought it was 100% Neal and from the front angle I thought it was 100% Butcher, so on balance I think it was a racing incident  Main thing is Rory is ok.

Sutton ends the day top of the championship again, I think this one will go to the wire

Cracking final race.

Looked like the marshal's post took a hit in Butcher's accident. Thankful that everyone was ok.

Did get hit, the marshal there went to the medical centre as well.

It comes down to one of my biggest bugbears in motorsport, the driver that is overtaking tries to move over on the car he is passing and tries to intimidate them and get them to back off
Butcher knew there was a left hand kink coming where he had to get the move done by otherwise Neal would have the line for the right hand part so tried to squeeze Neal out of the way so he'd have clearance before they turned right and ended up turning himself over the nose of the Honda

In oval racing we'd say that was 100% Butcher's fault and he'd potentially be looking at a penalty.
The car you're racing just cannot disappear.

As for Neate, what more needs to be said? He can cause blatent incidents, swear and threaten officials, crash everyone else off in sight and still is invited back for a warm welcome
His pockets must run DEEP. IE Deep enough to have everyone in the entire circuit on the payroll
Won't be long before he's paying people to post positive stuff about him and slander his rivals online either, like the IRL used to do.
Can't wait to see his facebook post explaining THIS meeting. :whistling:

The thing that annoyed me most about this meeting though is a front wheel drive car out dragtged a rear wheel drive at the start of Race 3 to pass him for the lead

It seems TOCA got their wish, they've not only removed the rear wheel drive start advantage (WHY!? LEAVE IT ALONE! Cars are different, variables bring good racing, cut it out!) but actually hobbled them to give FWD and advantage.
Do they want the BTCC to be a FWD only championship? If so, mandate no RWD allowed.

I know what you're saying, the only thing I'd argue against it is that Butcher left far more than a car's width at all times. That's what makes me think it was a racing incident - it was one of those incidents where Neal had milliseconds to decide whether to back out, or turn in and hope Butcher did the same. I don't really think he can blamed for turning in, nor do I think Butcher can be blamed for trying to block him turning in. That bit of track lends itself to this sort of accident. Definition of a racing incident, right?

Someone was putting up hour-long highlights of each round on YT, which I was enjoying. Looks like they're gone now :(
