only 13 points separate the top 3 as they come up to the halfway point. jordan's got some catching up to do but should get there if his current pace continues. some pretty close battles going down the standings, 4th-7th are within 6 points of each other.

hill has improved quite a bit, 11th in points and probably wont crack the top 10 but still a good effort. butcher has improved a lot too, probably helps AMD ditched the MGs. morgan on the other hand has been struggling, was in the top 10 last season with 3 wins but wont reach it this year with how things are going. same thing with goff

That was really unlucky for Simpson in practice yesterday. Coming out of the pits and minding his own business when Jordan drops a wheel off and spears into him.
