Messy Aussie Race Cars race, lots of SC for tiny, nothing incidents and very little racing

Oh well, Surfers must be used to races that are more SC running than green.... :whistling:

See you in 2019 ARC

It's clouded over quite a bit where I am in the last hour (which is around 100km north of the track).

Difference between NASCAR and Supercars... NASCAR commentators would be praising the kerb hop rule. I agree that it's a stupid rule and they keep slagging it off.

What's the rule, I must've missed that?

I have to say, single car qualy is dull, even on a great track like this.

See, it's really stupid. It's all on how much kerb they take. Like Scotty gained an advantage there...

Basically if you go to far over some of the kerbs you're judged to have gained an advantage or something and you get your time invalidated. If you get too many kerb strikes in the race you get a penalty.

Reynolds and Mostert are on the front row with SVG 3rd. McLaughlin and Whincup got kerb strikes so they'll be further down the top 10.

Slade was so out of control you'd have to be an idiot to think he gained an advantage.

It's a stupid rule and made even more stupid by putting the sensors in a place where there's no advantage to be gained and there's huge tyre stacks there to punish anyone getting too greedy?

Or are they hoping to remove the tyre stacks that produce the hugely spectacular slow-mos that are one of my favourite things about this track and just have the sensors?

What happened to the Konica/whatever the 2nd tier series is called now grid?

Have they smashed up a few cars irrepareably this weekend or has it always been Indy lights level numbers? :8:

This series normally has more like 20 cars, there aren't that many cars here this weekend because it's a non-championship round that's only happening because of the SST ban. Also they have smashed a few cars this weekend as well. I think 12 entered and there's only 9 left now.
