After another great installment of the Bathurst 1000, it is time for the final street race event of the year, the Coffee Club V8 Supercar Challenge at the Nikon Indy 300 on the Gold Coast.

HSV and PWR are in for a busy week, with both likely to have to prep spare cars, as both cars suffered massive chassis damage at the mountain. The limited turnaround time is a hassle, with both teams needing to make the trek from Bathurst to Melbourne, and then up to the Gold Coast, by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

888 coming off the high of Bathurst will be looking to continue their great form, as will Tasman Motorsport hoping their 2nd placing at Bathurst is a sign of things to come. Before Bathurst the team had only managed 1 Top 5 race finish. In addition Winterbottom, Courtney, Tander, and Davison will be the usual expected front-runners

The V8's will be on Motors TV and the Indycar will be shown on Sky Sports. Both delayed rather then live :(

Premiere is not showing the race because there is no Worldfeed (according to them), same reason why Edmonton wasn't shown.

Worth mentioning that in addition to the Channel 7 coverage, ESPN (Australia) is showing the Indycar race that evening

Wonder if Crompton will commentate the IndyCar this year.
He said that last year he couldn't be bothered talking about it (CCWS).

Im going to the weekend of course, as i go every year. Will be fantastic as always!

This year will be even better, more classes of racing this year. Only bad thing is this year there will be less girls going wild and flashing, as Anna Bligh is being a dick, they will be fined. :(

But Can't wait!

Would have been good had they paired Crompton with James Hinchcliffe

Matty White would have to be in there too somewhere.

I can understand though, it just became sooo crap. I went for the first time last year and the cars where awesome in real life, i had never seen them before, but the series was visibly crap.

I would to if there was non-Pay TV coverage and a better calendar. I am looking forward to a 24 car grid at Surfers though. It will be great to see. The other thing to look forward to is seeing Castroneves, Dixon, Franchitti, and Kanaan back in Australia.
