"He didn't hit anybody, just the curb caused him to spin".

OK so we'll just ignore the contact with his team mate

Fantastic meeting as they always tend to be here. Just the best of the season all round

Neal, last to 10th in one race. Stunning

You know, from a trackside point of view, I found Donington to be more entertaining. I guess it's just down to more of the track being further away at Thruxton.

The first F4 race was an absolute cracker! I'll even go as far as saying that we won't see anything better for the rest of the year. It really needed to happen too because single seater racing, particularly in the UK, is in desperate times. The second? Just sort of fizzled out into nothing.

The first touring car race was pretty tame and not really helped by the result. The second went a bit too far in the opposite direction with two big crashes. I'm no more knowledgeable than any of you as to what happened to Lloyd, but it didn't appear to me that he rolled. Matt Neal got the crowd going again. Rapturous applause when he had his problem, probably exaggerated because it benefited Collard, the local man, and sarcastic cheering when he came back out of the pits. Race three was more of a typical touring car race. A runaway win for Turkington, but plenty of battles through the field. Jeff Smith did what Jeff Smith does, which was a shame as he was having a good day. And although Neal overtook more cars, I was more captivated by the moves Sutton was pulling off. Really aggressive late braking, but clean and fair, and he's the only one getting anything out of the Subaru. I had to feel for Lloyd again though, after he was clipped quite heavily by Davenport when he was trying to stay out of the way. I will say this: today's racing was proof that multiple tyre compounds are unnecessary. Just stick to one for each event.

The Clios were about as sensible as they come in the first race, nothing too spectacular but worth watching nonetheless. Then they went and Clio'd it up in race two. So much so, in fact, that one of the planes said, "Screw you guys, I'm going home". Poor Lucas Orrock again, though. I'm starting to think he might be related to Paul Radisich.

The Juniors were their typical selves, although race one was spoilt by track limits penalties. Collard was rather unlucky to be hit even though he was in the gravel.

The Ginetta GT5's were kind of strange. There was close racing throughout the field, especially for the lead, but the field as a whole became more spread out than the Porsches usually do in the same amount of time.

Welp, Thruxton fans are Kinda dicks :(

He went from 33rd to 10th in race 3, what more does he need to do?

Oh wait, they think Collard is a decent driver just because he lives locally, I guess that explains everything :slaphead:

It was. He gets no sympathy, and rightfully so.

Another example from today was the fact that almost everyone cheered when there was a threat of a Dynamics car being overtaken. When Neal was making his moves back up the field? Well, about three people clapped. And this happens everywhere (everywhere I've been, at least), not just at Thruxton.
