And Tander had an issue with the rear. HRT having a horrid season thus far, 3 engines issues this weekend alone as well.

Spoiler:
dam this kid is good

Rookie Scott McLaughlin claimed his first V8 Supercars victory in the final race of the Australian Grand Prix-supporting event in Melbourne.

The Garry Rogers Motorsport driver made a flying start from seventh place on the grid to take fifth, moving up to third when both Jason Bright and Will Davison made their mandatory pitstops at the end of the second lap.

we will show live V8's if we can. I reckon 70% will be live but we are working out the schedule just now. If not we will show it delayed and also highlights.

So based on the Casey Stoner comment are they showing the main series, or the Dunlop feeder, or both?

Na, that was in Wellington which is a completely different city... plus a lot of the Wellington water front where the 500 was held is completely changed, although I think if you hunt around hard enough you can still find some paint marking from the starting grid was.

Just the restart after the break, apparently. i was under the same impression.

Turned out to be clean, apart from Pye running off.

I think they may have scrapped them from the Safety Car restarts due to fear of increased damage. They are trying to reduce costs (less test days, less soft tyres) due to minimal returns expected to be paid from V8SA this year. Less TV money = less money for teams.

Good to see he is OK but the crash featured one of the best super slowmotion shots I have ever seen.

Great slow motion replay of that hit, laughed at the guy running away in the background too. Good weekend for us, two podiums but those BJR cars are magic currently. Looking forward to the return to Pukekohe!

Was in Race 5 Speed.

Was really impressed by McLaughlin today as well (though been impressive all season thus far), but his presence of mind, particularly with that series of moves on Frosty was seriously impressive. Pye will miss the next round after his shunt as well unfortunately.
