Going through my DVR recording of Race 2 and I can't remember Ch7 being as bad as this.

5 mins, ads, 5 mins, ads, 3 mins, ads, 5 mins, etc. etc.

Sky secured the rights in NZ about 48 hours before the first race! but that means adds free coverage as well as some practice sessions live as well

Woodski - I'd say Scotty was meaning that V8SC do not allow a manufacturers bodyshape to be used in the championship without said manufacturers approval. Mercedes-Benz Asia-Pacific, while not monetarily backing Erebus, ultimatly were the one's who decided whether the cars raced or not, as their approval was required for that bodyshape to be used.

In terms of teams directly backed by the manufacturers in the V8Supercar Championship, that list sits at 4: Holden Racing Team, Ford Performance Racing, Triple 8 Race Engineering and Kelly Racing/Nissan Motorsport.

Ch7 does have alot of ads, but they were well and truly outdone by Fox Sports coverage of this years Daytona 500...

FOX will always be awful, no matter how will others try to outdo them.

If it's a 1:43, it'd most likely be Resin cast, so it'd be a model at that point.

Qualy results

Spoiler:
All Kiwi front row

Brad Jones Racing team-mates Fabian Coulthard and Jason Bright proved the class of the field in V8 Supercars qualifying at Albert Park.

The result marks Coulthard’s first career V8 Supercars pole position and comes off the back of a fast but ultimately fruitless run in Adelaide two weeks ago.

Bright ended up second fastest but will start just fourth thanks to a two-place grid penalty for passing the chequered flag twice at the end of Practice 1.

Shane van Gisbergen and Craig Lowndes both gain from Bright’s penalty to line up second and third respectively.

Wonder what is going on over at HRT. Factory team being slaughtered by the other commodores. Great to see BJR doing so well though, they have built some rocketships this year! No comment on DJR lol, but the engines are still mega!

Not only that, they were also outqualified by two Nissans and Tim Slade's Mercedes! Bloody good effort though from Tim to put that car in the top half of the field considering how slow they were at Clipsal, and still are to a degree.
