So were the punctures from debris or is there a tire issue?

More than likely. Or SC's every 3 laps.

I would guess a tyre issue. They always have problems here and the heat is only making it worse

Well it was the tyre that went on the others but it only happened after he went through the debris field so who knows.

Thing is, this is nothing new and it keeps happening so they really need to look at it. That could have been a dega style crash where someone could have been hurt

Teams do get aggressive with the tyre pressures though for performance reasons so that's gotta pay a part. Seemed to be a chain reaction of punctures causing debris causing punctures I think.

Also they recommend keeping off the kerbs in the early laps and I didn't see much of that.

I sense this'll get like Pirelli-gate in F1 with Dunlop being thrown under the bus when it's not 100% their fault.

Either that or Plato was sniping from the pit wall..

Yeaa they did bring in this Thruxton tyre and it did work last year. I think the heat is having an effect though.

Tell them to manage their tyres better, or run 10 lappers.

Sounds like lots of other drivers were either about to blow or were within a lap of having a blowout.

Five ten lap races it is then, to make up for drivers inability to curb their enthusiasm. imho.

Did any of the support series have tyre issues yesterday? I know the races aren't as long, but yesterday was equally warm.
