Speaking of those comments from Bartrum, I don't think Plato was too pleased that Autosport ran the story.

Autosport is a media outlet. Sponsorsing a driver does not mean immunity from negative stories.

He's good because he has a huge power advantage.

I know. But I don't think JP was pleased with it!

Yes but he's never pleased with anything unless it is benefitting him, correct?

Everyone has to bow down to his 'superiority'

Plato 0.6s quicker? What a joke.

Of course the rules are so retarded that next time Honda will be given more boost, but due to the nature of the circuit, be quicker and then will get reduced again!

He's only done one run and knows that no one can get near him. The organisers must know this is no way to balance a series

Turned off before we hear Plato gloating about how he's the 'best driver ever' :yuk:

I refuse to watch the BTCC again until Plato retires.

Some people seem to think he is a bad boy or hard man, but to me he's a comic book villain. I remember when Matt Neal had a go at him and Daddy Plato was there to protect him.

(Having just said I won't watch, knowing me I probably will.)

I respect Plato for winning races and championships. I cannot respect him hugely though.

But a lot of blame has to go to the rule makers. A few seasons ago, we were being told of really full grids. Usually as a season progresses, people join.

We're here with twenty cars - and let's be honest, quite a few of them new or backmarkers - and with a joke set of rules. A car that was new at the first race taking pole by six tenths? Fuck off. These equalisation rules have failed. NGTC may well be the future, but the transition period has been one farce after the next.

2 or so years back the LPG Fords had a similar advantage in quali that TOCA kept pegging them back after quali and between races. So what's different now.

There's no need to fight temptation, there will be a perfectly adequate F1 race going on at the same time.
