Has anyone here actually been to their cinema to watch a GP?

I went to watch the British GP in 2007 with 00malleys at our local cinema.

Tbh it was shocking, the signal kept braking up (Might of been our cinemas problem) and the commentators didn't have a clue how to pronounce the drivers names.

It was not worth the money we paid, But the free programme was nice :p

Ben Edwards does the cinema feed now doesn't he? Reckon there's a chance of several audiences members being deafened when he gets excited.

Not every week, Ben does it when its free.

There has also been "him from the ASCAR" Steve Slater and "oh my god he gets everywhere we've just finished moaning about him" David Addison this year, and that's just talking about main commentators...

I'd love to go, but it's a huge risk isn't it. I mean when Valencia was on I could come on here and moan about it and channel hop to see if anything else was on...no such luck in a cinema ! :p

It was not Ben Edwards, I would of recognised his voice.

It was some joker who spent 5 minutes trying to pronounce "Raikkonen"

Yet another SEAT 1-2 in quali, but we know they'll DNF at some point, question is when, not if.

Gio down in 11th, has some work to do. Most impressive quali performance for me was Vaulkhard in the Chevrolet Lacetti, 8th place is a great effort.

Maybe the rain'll take the SEATs off before the engines fail.

Vaulkhard's in line to do something special tomorrow especially if the weather plays about.

Well you got Turkington in third. Hopefully he'll get a good start and mix it with the SEATs.

Rain forecast for tomorrow then?

Hope it's not as bad as Croft though, we lost track time there. Though it was funny when Plato binned it

Race 1 at Croft was a mess - two red flags and only half a dozen racing laps. Rain at Silverstone tomorrow would be cool, but I agree, not on the scale we saw at Croft earlier in the season.

Want to bet that Turner will spend the first couple of corners chopping Turkington so hard that Plato will have an easy lead by the end of the lap over whoever triumphs? :?

What you do is turf Turner off somewhere they'd need to bring the SC out :D

That's been Turner's job all season, tbh. Serve as a punting bag for whichever angry driver is behind.

If they're of the electrical nature, would the races have to be suspended for the safety of the marshals and crowd.

No. They raced at Rockingham while a thunderstorm was around.

When I was at a STCC race many years ago now (back in 1999 or so), they stopped the race due to a powerful thunderstorm in the area. It is to this day the most powerful thunderstorm I've ever been in, even caused me to leave the race early.
