Apart from the 00 cars, they looked as good as they ran: shit.

David Russell will again be in the 51 car this weekend, which has had a livery spew change:

Certainly better than the first scheme this year, but still could be better.

I quite like it, unlike the awful liveries they've been using.

It's risen from -5, to -2, back to -10, then to 2, then back to -10 the last few races, this is getting better.

I'm a data engineer, mostly watching vitals during each session, calculating the fuel use etc to help with strategy and then debriefing with the engineer and driver to help him with places to improve and car setup adjustments. This weekend will mostly just be getting to grips with the process though and learning how they work etc. Hopefully all will go swell! Thanks again!!

Well my 1st race weekend is over! Pretty awesome experience, I think you realise you made it when you find yourself having a piss between whincup and tander in the trough before the race lol. Pretty full on pressure wise though, it's a mad game of recalculating fuel use and strategy mid race particularly when you have random safety cars and such, ended up with just over a lap of fuel for race 2 so kept things tight! Anyway bring on townsville!

Over/under on how many cars Villeneuve takes out. I say 10 after his performance on the Gold Coast a couple of years ago:

Now they just need Maldonado, EJ Viso, the Busch brothers, Thed Björk, Anthony Davidson and Jason Plato!

And by the article released it looks like they might even pump quite a bit into upgrading the circuit which is great news!
