De Silvestro will not be moving to Triple Eight as was predicted, according to speedcafe.com. This may see T888 revert to two cars and sell their REC to someone else.

On top of this year's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 being broadcast without ad-breaks in Australia for the first time, the race will also have a 4K feed on FOXTEL channel 444.

Triple Eight will be selling their REC and going back to two cars. I hope someone buys it, would be a shame to lose an entry.

I think it will get bought. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Super2 teams moved up or if another team expanded. Would be a true shame if nobody did though, the car counts are already so low

Frosty has some options for both a return to Tickford and a switch to Holden to replace Holdsworth at the Charlie Schwerkolt team. It seems that he only has 1 week to decide on which option he will take for 2019+

I can't imagine that he'd leave Tickford (even with their downturn in form) to go to Schwerkolt unless Charlie's linking up with another bigger team. I don't see why Tickford would want to get rid of him either, he probably won't win another title at this point but he's still been the best driver in the team after Mostert for the last couple of years.

Why they've dropped Eastern Creek given it was the most successful event this year is beyond me, although apparently it might be getting brought back as a January event in 2020. Sandown has also been swapped with Pukehohe which will feel weird.

Post subject:  Re: 2018 Aussie Supercars & Supports Discussion | no Eastern Creek for 2019, night race for Perth

Should of added Pukehoke as a 4th enduro to keep the tradition of having a Bathurst warmup. Bummer on Sydney but understandable on the changes.

Hate the idea of them switching to a summer season in 2020. I realize that they want to not run against AFL / NRL but honestly the motorsport calendar in Australia is great as is (Supercars in Fall - Spring, Sprint Cars in the Summer)

Simona will be staying on in the series next year with the Kellies and possibly beyond that if she can find a drive.

Lowndes will have a different sponsor for Pukehohe.

They found a sponsor again for the Adelaide race, which is nice to see.

They had enduros at Pukekohe for years. They were a real grind, but good.

The second last round of the year is this weekend with the series heading to New Zealand to race at Pukehohe. The championship is definitely not decided at this stage with only 14 points seperating McLaughlin and Van Gisbergen. Whincup and Lowndes are outside shots being around 330 points behind Scotty Mac with 600 points on offer over the remaining races.

Schedule here.

There's a couple of interesting support categories for this event. The Formula 5000s are back, while the first round of the NZ V8s will be held with six different manufacturers being represented (Holden, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, BMW and Hyundai).
