Caldwell would sort the men from the boys, but it's a lot safer these days, they not longer race past an open barn or lake protected by a mere hedge, and that massive wall is no longer in the woodlands section, about the only dangerous section that remains is where those MX5's crashed last year.

Michael Caine replaces Chris Smiley at Team Hard - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.ph ... -team-hard

Also, Jonathan Palmer has named a corner at Snetterton after Justin Wilson.

And it's the yaytree corner. Two of my favourite things right there

Seriously though, this is a nice touch, hoping there's more instances of his name being kept in our memories like that.

I agree. Although perhaps Palmer could have renamed one of the configurations after Justin.

Several teams have offered cars to Dan Welch so he could try and finish the current season.

Hopefully he'd take the spare Civic Type R from Eurotech.

Newsham's back. Standing in for Fletcher as his wife's expecting.

I see it's very Plato vs Gow at the minute regarding engines.

I was on Plato's side in 2010 (when he and most of the field moaned about the LPG Fords) but in 2016 I'm very much on Mr Gow's side

Newsham will continue since Fletcher's kid is apparently as slow as he is

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.ph ... -to-return

Gilham will replace Caine after his back injury will keep him out.

Taking Plato-hate out of it for a minute (I know it's hard) I always thought it was better for the show to have some cars generate their speed through engine power, some through traction, some through aero, etc,
I always assume the championship's promise to equalise the cars is through laptimes, not having them have the exact same amount of horsepower or whatever.

Going back to the Plato hate, funny how the fucker has gone quiet on the "unfair rear wheel drive advantage" and now its another problem.

Can always go back to when the Seat diesels had more power than the rest of the field too. Plato will do whatever he can to try and get an advantage, sounds like he may have pushed things a bit too far with Gow this time

A series with more rolls then the Abarth series?

I don't really see the need for another junior series. There are already three in Britain.
