Great day at the track, on and off rain made for lots of incidents, race 2 in particular was a classic! Judging by the comments in this thread it wasn't made clear on TV what happened to Jake Hill at the start of race 3 - it was Moffat he collided with. Moffat was trying to get back to his original position after getting away from the grid slowly, tried to stick it up the inside of Hill at Paddock while Hill was warming his tyres, and clattered into the side of him. It was all rather clumsy.

That was a cracking day's racing, somehow even better than usual. I think Tom Boardman did an excellent job to hang on to that punt from Bushell.

Quote:
Penalties

Race 1

James Nash received a verbal warning for an incident involving Senna Proctor

Chris Smiley had 0.6s added to his race time for gaining an unfair advantage in an incident involving James Cole

Race 2

Tom Boardman received a verbal warning for an incident involving Matt Neal

Senna Proctor received a verbal warning for an incident involving Aiden Moffat

Race 3

Mike Bushell received an official reprimand and his licence was endorsed with two points for an incident involving Aiden Moffat

Ash Sutton received a verbal warning for an incident involving James Nash

Senna Proctor received an official reprimand and his licence was endorsed with two points incident involving James Nash

Stephen Jelley received an official reprimand and his licence was endorsed with two points for an incident involving Tom Chilton

Jack Goff received a verbal warning for an incident involving Ollie Jackson

I like how the stewards have become more strict in regards to race bans. BTCC is the best racing in the world when it's clean.

just finished watching the first round. simply fantastic racing. especially race 2, that one had me on the edge the entire time. that race would be a great example to show to non-touring fans to get them interested

other notes
-grid is colorful and looks super tast
-jordan's scheme is growing on me and looks better in action
-good to see austin with some strong runs with the new alfa, hope he keeps it in contention throughout
-was plato even racing in this? i'd say the same for neal if we didn't see going off in the gravel

Plato's best finish was 19th. He is done. Neal and Collard are beginning to head in that direction as well.

They have a combined age of 150.

Anyone know what exactly happened between Neal and Boardman? I'm guessing that was the reason he was off the pace in race 2. Did at least score points unlike Plato.

And Collard as usual screwed himself over with his inability to qualify well.

Plato will definitely be done after this season.
