Scott McLaughlin going with a NASCAR theme number on his car, usually I like that style but I think in that case it's ruined a nice livery

Yeah it has cramped the Valvoline a bit too much. Doubt it would ever take off in the sport given it's prime real-estate for sponsorship (which isn't the easiest thing to come by these days, so have to keep them happy!). Heading to the track tomorrow, pretty much perfect weather wise by the looks of things this weekend.

I'm a Holden man through and through but damn DJRs early 90 Shell liveries always looked awesome.

Good to see some numbers back where they are supposed to be, on the doors.

A little big on the Volvo if i'm being picky, but certainly alot better than being tucked up in the back window.

There's been some real carnage at the start of the Dunlop race, with two pileups in 8 laps.

Winterbottom just blew a tyre, went a lap down. Snoozecup into the championship lead again for the 8th straight year :tumble:

Interesting top 5 in the 3rd race though, not that you'd know it.

If Lowndes hadn't taken him off in Bahrain in 07 and he'd got on the track one lap earlier in Race 1 at Sydney 2010, he could have won the last 7 in a row :8:

Best car, for sure.

Whincup needs to try other categories, he'd done nothing by V8 Supercars since 2004. Bathurst 12 Hour, Le Mans, Spa, Daytona. He's won all these V8 races but isn't well known anywhere outside Aust/NZ.

I find it so hilarious the amount of shit Whincup gets. He's the best driver in the field in the best car. He's been the most consistent driver the category has seen, you could say in history.

He's just disliked because he wins so much. And although he's unquestionably a very good driver, in terms of public personality he's just boring. Put it this way, he just drives the car and wins a shitton of races, there's really not much else to him.

Isn't that the point of a motor racing driver, to win races?

I don't see anything boring about someone who does alot of winning.

Great to see Whincup take the points lead. I can't stand Frosty!

Courtney would've won the title in 2010 regardless of whether Whincup was classified or not. Only way Whincup wins in that situation is if Courtney doesn't get classified. As for 2007, I think him getting excluded out of a race at Eastern Creek for the wrong brake rotors was a bigger factor, cost him 20-odd points I think, and he would up losing by 1.

And the sooner they nuke Queensland Raceway the better. Didn't watch any of yesterday, but today was boring as batshit.

What track is there available as an alternative to replace it?

The only way they got the Gold Coast 600 deal renewed with the Queensland Government was on the condition Queensland Raceway lept it's round as well.

Damn still over a month until the endurance races. Maybe it's only me but I've not even thought to bother watching Barbagallo, Hidden Valley, Townsville, Queensland Raceway and not overly keen on Sydney Motorsport Park this year.

Lakeside is too small, doesn't have the right pits, has noise problems and also would be impossible to overtake on
