And Turk has been given an 8 place penalty for hitting Neal.

And yet Neal escapes with nothing despite blatantly hitting Adam Morgan. That figures.

A round-up of yesterday from my POV as a spectator:

- The 3 BTCC races were by far the best races of the day, mainly due to it being the only series with an acceptable sized entry.

- Juniors & Clios also put on some good racing, although the latter was spoilt by a little girl crying at nothing for the entirety of it (she needed a smack, tbh. There should be a minimum age limit for spectators, say 8 or 9).

- The first FFord race was fairly good, so was the lead battle in the last Gineatta race, but the rest of the support races were :tumble: . I actually nodded off during the second Porsche race, but that was due to tiredness rather than boredom.

- The MSA need to give the organisers of the support series a good kick up the arse. It's not much fun watching barely a double-digit number of cars circulate around a 3 mile circuit. Ginetta Juniors are the only series this year with an acceptable sized entry and they could only muster 19 cars this weekend. This has been the worst year for the supports in the 11 years that I've been attending events.
- BTCC = 31 cars
- Carrera Cup + FFord + Ginetta GT4 = 33 cars
- Clio Cup + Ginetta Juniors = 33 cars

It's pretty poor when you consider that other UK series have many more entries than that, e.g. VW Cup, Ginetta GT5, Caterhams, Fiestas.

- There was a disgusting cave-dweller behind me who spent the entire day deliberately belching as loudly as possible, and a woman who spent a lot of the day talking just to hear her own voice.

I do think both contacts were genuine accidents, so you have to surmise there was more in Neal's data about how hard he braked/how early Morgan braked that let the stewards believe his version of events than there was for contact.

Neither accident smacked of "lets just move the guy out of the way now", at least in my opinion.

Yeah but no. Turks was caught out by an early braking Neal, whereas Neal just lunged at Morgan. First was accidental, second was just a little dumb. Fingers crossed though that by the time Knockhill comes around, BTCC decides to have a change of heart like it did with Jordan's removal of Gio at Croft.

Just come off air after a chat with Robb Holland, and I'm not sure if it was caught on TV but he said his crash was due to someone clipping his right rear before he lost it, causing the later contact.
But he is happier with the car than he's ever been he's just gutted the damage from Snet means he now can't test the car between now and Knockhill.

Also chatted to David Pittard from the Ginettas, he said he was down on power so the team were surprised he got as high as he did.
Still annoyed he was overtaking by someone using the pit exit in their race 1.
Also he might be in budget concerns and might not even finish the season but is working hard on sponsorship pitches atm.

I'll link to this once it's available to listen again.
