Watching the last few laps of V8 race 3, all of a sudden Van Gisbergen's in the lead, when did that happen?

Rewound and sure enough, Channel 10 was showing cars down the order when it happened, cut back to the leaders and didn't mention Gis's pass on Tander or replay it. Shocking.

Having seen the thread title, I'd like to know who's bright idea it was to chuck the V8's on 7Mate this weekend. And before anyone says it's because of the AFL, here in Melbourne there's no games being shown during the day, just umpteen repeats of D-grade movies on 7. Fucking pathetic.

No complaints here if it's shown in HD. You don't get 7mate?

Luckily I do, so I probably shouldn't be complaining, but I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be shown on the main channel with no footy on during the day.

In this day of multi channels and more than 75% of the population with access to them, who cares what channel it's on.

Don't think in terms of 5 channels (stations) anymore.

Plus it being HD (I hope it true HD) is a pretty good thing.

I might be wrong, but I'm not sure that 75% of the population has access to HD channels though, and that applies especially for the working class bogans who are the majority of the traditional V8 fan base. I think it'd make more sense to have it on both channels, or maybe have it delayed on standard 7.

It doesn't affect me though.

Well my 2nd home is a country town in Victoria (Yea), where they don't get the digital signals, but a majority of them still have the set top boxes anyway. It's mostly the elderly who don't have them.

75% is more like 90% to be honest.

True, but my point was, as far as I know, with the set top boxes and an old fashioned television you cannot get HD. But HD televisions are fairly cheap nowadays anyway.

Well it IS the worst track on the calendar. Had some action though, those FPR cars are impressive.

Yesterday's race was enjoyable, and it was great to see Taz Douglas 8th in qualifying and 12th in the race. The best performance by anyone in the #30 Lucas Dumbrell car. It seems that Douglas and Webb are running 888 cars more successfully than Paul Morris Motorsport managed to.
