They'll release a statement soon about why this is Alan Gow's fault.

Fantastic. Smith got both his team-mate and his boss to shave more laps off under the SC.

Great racing everywhere today!

I never really look forward to Rockingham because it's not the best track the BTCC visits, but damn it's pretty well suited to touring car racing, all 3 races have been fun today.

They could race in 2 weeks time but nah they'll wait for 3 weeks so they can ensure another F1 clash :slaphead:

Well, forgot that Goodwood Revival is in two weeks and a lot of the big guys do that.

A suspended ban? Is that it? He should be banned outright, he's Andy Neate Mk. II. There's no need to beat around the bush here, start getting rid of people. It's always the same people throwing themselves at the scenery afterall.

They could really do with a big screen or two at Rockingham, for the sake of showing replays. I missed quite a few passes and incidents because I was watching the wrong part of the field.

A few races today were ruined early on by first lap safety cars. The first BTCC race could have been so much better had Jackson been able to stay with Shedden under racing conditions.

Well chances are he'll get banned at Silverstone.

Quote:
Penalties

General:
Team BKR has received 10 penalty points in the Teams’ and Independent Teams’ Championships for exceeding the maximum number of engine units allowed

Mark Howard has been handed a suspended one race ban for his general standard of driving in a number of incidents. This penalty is suspended for the duration of the 2016 season

Race one:
Colin Turkington received a six second time penalty for gaining an unfair advantage during an incident involving Josh Cook

Matt Simpson received a verbal warning for an incident involving James Cole

Dave Newsham was officially reprimanded and received two penalty points for an incident involving Aiden Moffat

Race two:
Jeff Smith received a verbal warning for an incident involving Warren Scott. This was a third strike – Smith started race three at Rockingham from the back of the grid

Race three:
Ashley Sutton was officially reprimanded and received two penalty points for an incident involving Dave Newsham

Hunter Abbott was officially reprimanded and received two penalty points for an incident involving Josh Cook

Mark Howard was officially reprimanded and received two penalty points for an incident involving Jack Goff. This was a third strike – Howard will start race one at Silverstone from the back of the grid

Colin Turkington was officially reprimanded and received two penalty points for overtaking Jake Hill under yellow flag conditions. This was a third strike – Turkington will start race one at Silverstone from the back of the grid

Previous incidents at Knockhill were also reviewed this weekend with the following outcomes:

Mark Howard received a verbal warning for an on-track incident in race three

Rob Austin received a one-second time penalty for gaining an unfair advantage in an incident involving Adam Morgan

I see that Matt Neal got away with ramming Dave Newsham out of the way in race 2

And the bolded part, oh no...

Good days racing, all the supports were decent too. Shame lots of things got missed or weren't replayed, especially the hairpin incidents at the start of the 2nd race and whoever went through turn 1 sideways in race 3.

Can't see Howard making it through to the end of the season, race 3 was a particular low point. Interesting Turkington has managed to rack up 3 incidents given his reputation as a clean driver.

Yeaa, other than the incident with Collard at Knockhill, I can't really recall anything before that this year.

Now wait for someone to give me a list
