Yeah, they should have done so when others were. It was clear that it was going to happen and the government advice was shit.

maybe the schedule will be delayed enough that they'll have racing in the snow :8:

Not a lot of variety in colour this year.

LOL at the testing times. 1st-28th covered by 1.5 secs, 28th-Neate covered by 1.1.

yea I was gonna say that too. the field doesn't pop out as much as previous seasons but i do like the more sober look. schemes are darker and more srs

Because the suspension has been extended to 30th June, Thruxton and Oulton Park have been postponed. Snetterton currently now season opener but that could still be affected too.

They’ve switched the brands weekends. GP circuit in August, Indy as the season final

Always used to be that way, they used to have 2 Indy rounds and no GP Loop because its dates were given to something else (A1GP?)

Usually the 2nd Brand Indy meeting would be where the big WREXX happend as it was all on the line and you can't pass for shit there, whatever the formula.

They're not faffing about with option tyre rubbish either, so that's good. Mediums all season, except Thruxton.

M-Sport to replace Swindon as TOCA engine supplier from 2022.

Good to see a company as highly-regarded as M-Sport being awarded the contract.

I'm just watching the Duke 2004 season review (chose 2004 as it was my first season watching BTCC). Wow it was a destruction derby back then. Fun though

Particularly enjoyed James Thompson's assessment of Anthony Reid: "Bloke's a clown, he should be juggling balls in a circus"

That's a surprise. Wonder what that's all about. When I saw he wasn't going to race, I assumed it was money-related but that statement is a lot more vague than I thought it was going to be

Post subject:  Re: BTCC 2020. TOCA announces new 2020 calendar

Probably money-related. There's always some sort of spin in these statements.

A big shame to lose him.

Incidentally, MSV have announced that spectators will be allowed into their events starting 11th July, so they won't be behind closed doors. Wonder if this might put pressure on F1 and the BRDC to change their minds about the Silverstone races being held behind closed doors
