Barbagello this weekend

Another mediocre race track, hopes are very low that anything exciting will happen.

I was reading somewhere that there hasn't been a wet race at Barbagello since 1997 (not happening this weekend just thought I'd put that out there).

I must say it feels weird to woke up at 9 am and see that Supercars didn't start their race yet

Some talk this could be the swansong for this bullring - a street race in Perth (somewhere) is on the horizon

Mostert took Ford's first win of the year in race 1.

Good race from his teammate Wood too, taking the lead at the start and then being very defensive against Brown, killing Will's tyres and stopping his charge for the lead.

That was a BS move. Murray should get a penalty.

Shades of Van Gisbergen at Phillip Island

That was huge. Interesting stat is that was actually the first time there's been a proper roll in 25 years of Super2 races, there's been a couple of half rolls but no-one's ever gone fully over before.

Barbagello always brings the rolls, for whatever reason

Usually its a gravel based flip onto the top but this went futher

That's what happens if you try to block someone that has an overlap, got what he deserved imo

IIRC the main game hasn't had a flip since Hazlewood's at Sandown in 2017

Send them back to Phillip Island that was a flip magnet for a while

Supercars released the onboard from Murray's car. It went to the MA tribunal and he got disqualified for reckless driving, which he accepted. Considering he was turning him for about half the straight and never backed off that seems like a fair enough decision.

That's everything typical about Supercars - poke your nose in and push the guy all the way round the corner and wreck him in a straight line. Should have been banned for longer.
