http://www.stayontheblack.com/ratthapar ... road-crash

I Can't believe this... im a big fan of his young promising Thai rider who really is a talented rider. Motorbike crashes are very big in Thailand and it seems 3am in the morning possibly drunk with his friend. His friend is dead and apparently Ratthapark is talking to doctors in hospital so i really wish him the best and a speedy recovery. Im quite speechless at the moment... His father also only passed away last week from cancer so this really is hell for his family. I wish them the best.

It seems he will be okay. Still i hope he fully recovers and can ride again in 2011, but for now being alive is most important.

Reports are he is improving, no serious physical injuries, however there is little present concern about brain damage. Doctors will be able to make a full assessment in the next 24 hours.

He is reacting to medication well and is getting better by the day. He had a clot in his brain but medication is fixing it very well. He has heavy bruising on his hands and his left eye was completely closed up, but now the bruising is getting better. He is now in the ICU for a few days before he begins his full recovery in hospital. His rehabilitation in hospital is expected to last atleast 3-4 weeks where he will fully recover.

I couldn't find detailed info on this accident, but some sources say he was riding that bike and some others say the opposite. Luckily it seems like he'll just need a month or so of rehabilitiation to make a full recovery.

He was in the ICU for only 1 week and he started training on the cycle in hospital and is already out of hospital weeks before expectation (this is already 1 week old), hes now about to begin a big rehabilitation process to get ready for the 2011 season. wish him well hes off the bimota this season which held him back in 2010 so might see some strong performances from him!
