No easy solutions. Can't create bike-related performance gaps in spec classes and simply limiting entries means telling 1/3 of the teams to go away.

WSSP300 used to have a short qualifying race (I think it was called "Last Chance Race") and then only one race on Sunday. I guess that kept the grids smaller.

Split the field in 2 for "heat" races on Saturday, take top 12 or so from each and run a feature on Sunday?

That crash footage looks like he was clipped as he fell, then another 5 riders came up on him. Brutal crash :(

I do not recommend watching "Jerez" videos on yt right now. Whole page, idk, like 50 videos, are just some sh** not real thumbnails from wrecks like from IOM, Spielberg last year and crying emojis. I would love to print that thumbnails on idk, A0 paper, and put them in authors butts

I'm watching VOD of today's BSB action from Brands Hatch on Eurosport Player and there was a lot of crashes at the exit of T1 during Ducati race. Few riders went down one lap after another (one hit the wall with head first) and after SC restart there was now another big crash and Red Flag. Looks like they're just using outside curbs at the exit which is wet

Oil on track on last corner during Supersport race, at least 5 riders down, Red Flag

Here's the amateur footage.

+ the accident you mentionned with oil on the track.

Yeah, it would be cool if Toprak tried his chances in MotoGP straight away now.

Finally cought up with the last rounds. Great season, even a classic. Not just close in points but lots of on-track battles between Toprak and Rea.

It might not have been so close though if Toprak had not DNF'd three times due mechanical issues meanwhile Rea kept crashing all by himself.

There was talk (but how much of it was just made up) about that in the summer but then he made a two-year extension (2022/2023). That was also well before Petronas quit.

Most Circuit first chicane is the new Monza first chicane for Superbikes. Chaos during start of the Supersport race there

There was a big crash during the SSP300 race at Portimao earlier. Crash was caught live and it was ugly. :(

World Superbike race 1 can't start since the medical helicopter hasn't came back yet.
