This is a horrible season in so many ways, so glad it's almost over.

Wow, lovely to see the big impact he made in the MOTOGP community during his short career.

Personalities like Marco are hard to come by. Whether you liked his agressive style of racing or not; you just could not dislike the guy off the bike.

Fitting tribute to name the circuit.

Depressing to think that we are going to miss out on about 10 years of great exciting racing from him.

Moto2 might not be done after all

Quote:
Hi all,
I would like to have started this blog by telling you I’d definitely be on the grid in Valencia this weekend, but as I can’t be sure I’ll be fit in time, the decision at the moment is not to participate.
The eye is much better and the doctors have at least reassured me that I’ll make a full recovery. I’ll travel with the team to Valencia, and if in the next two days my condition improves significantly, it might allow us to contest the grand prix.

Capirossi running with the 58 for his last career motogp race.

And on sunday, after the warmup, as a tribute there should be a "minute of noise" with all the bikes of all the class revving up!

Just waiting to see what will Rossi have on his bike/leathers.
Is there anyone running with little #58's on the bike, like they did with Kato's #74 when he died? I thought that was a very nice tribute.

Great news about Misano

And I really hope they will do that "minute of noise" next Sunday, that would be a pretty unique and unforgettable moment.

So it's official: Marquez will miss the race and Bradl is the champion already.

When I was looking for Vale's tribute helmet for Simoncelli I stumbled across this article which includes pictures of his suit and helmet after the crash.

Not sure about the statement by AGV tho...

edit: Nevermind the pics from a crash from 2010, I already was wondering why the hell this was online.

Meh. Marquez was more impressive this year anyway. Both should have bright futures though.

Not always the more "talented" rider wins.
Not a great way to win a title. Feel a bit sorry for Stefan, he's a nice kid.

Does anyone have a eurosport-stream for qualifying?

That lap by Stoner was incredible and his slide was amazing. If I could I'd do a gif of it!

2nd quickest, Pedrosa, was ONE second slower 8O

I don't like Stoner, but (you may think I'm lying but I'm not) after the first 2 pre-season tests he made with the honda I was sure he was going to be this year's champion... And here he is, completely humiliating his opposition.

I hope someone is going to cap the tribute on sunday at 10 am and post it here. German tV probably not showing it and Dorna are deleting all videos on youtube.
