Oh, there is a separate Spanish national championship? I thought the Moto GP was it.

Rumours Ducati might switch to the Open Class. One of the reasons being that their bike won't be able to get to the end of the race with the amount of fuel, and they don't want to tune down their engine any more.

LOL

MotoGP reminding Ducati of their former glory after yesterday's announcement.

Besides, the 2009 race was far better.

Onda Cero: 'Lorenzo to Ducati for 2015'
Quote:
Two-time MotoGP™ World Champion Jorge Lorenzo could leave Yamaha for Ducati from the start of the 2015 season, reports Spain’s Onda Cero.

As reported by the radio station, the Mallorcan rider - who had ridden for Yamaha Factory Racing since his debut premier class season in 2008 - has already given Ducati a ‘yes’ with regards to a preliminary agreement for 2015 onwards, with an alleged offer of 15 million euros per season.

Since arriving in the premier class, Lorenzo has claimed two world titles for Yamaha in 2010 and 2012, respectively. To date, he has celebrated 31 MotoGP™ race wins.

Is he just looking for a raise from Yamaha or genuinely thinking about leaving for Ducati? :)

Lorenzo to Ducati would be pretty big.

With Rossi approaching the inevitable conclusion, would make an interesting Yamaha lineup if they lose both of them.

Hopefully Suzuki can be competitive.

The last 56 MotoGP races have been won by Honda or Yamaha. Someone else needs to challenge.

Someone else needs to get their act together. It's not Honda or Yamaha's fault if no-one else can win.

Was it at that wet race at Le Mans that Suzuki won the race?

And the first test at Sepang is underway.

Besides the usual suspects I have to say both the Espargaró brothers have made an impressive start. Pol is (close to) matching Smith already on the Tech 3 and Aleix is flying on that NGM Yamaha open class bike.

Interesting to see that the Pramac Ducati was a full second faster than the factory machinery.

Márquez, unsurprisingly, is in a class of his own. Around half a second on his nearest competitor on both days. The changes in fuel limits and tires seem to favor the (factory spec) Hondas for now. Rossi seems to be getting along well with the new electronics, fastest Yamaha on both days. Espargaró is staying very close to the front on the open class Yamaha too. And Iannone remains fastest of the Ducatis on his (factory spec) Pramac. The open class Hondas seem to be in a bit of trouble right now, Hayden being the fastest, but still more than two seconds off the pace after two days of testing.

The Ducatis are pathetic as always. RIP Crutchlow's career.
