I was surprised anyway about that event. I mean that's better than another race in Spain, but from the other hand, why Finland. They don't have a lot of racing series anyway iirc, so it will be just used mostly for track days

Finnish GP used to be a thing (1962-82), that probably played a big role in Dorna's interest.

I don't remember any international event being even announced... Other than MXGP which will use the adjacent motocross track.

National level series raced there already last summer but that's far away from MotoGP intrastructure requirements.

I've been sceptical and hopeful but lately again sceptical and I think it is a running joke now.

I remember seeing in Barry Sheene's book photos of the Finnish GP track where they jump over a train track crossing

That would be Imatra I believe. Fast and terrifying as many of the old GP circuits were.

It's still in use. Will host a round of the International Road Racing Championship, July 1-3rd.

It was revived in 2016, I guess not that crazy circuit for this championship which uses exclusively public road circuits.

so they also race in other public roads rather Snaeffel and Dundrod. Must be a thrilling ride on the sidecar there

Holy Christ they're at Mugello this weekend? My God this is indeed the single greatest weekend of racing there is. I'll have to watch the replay though unless they have the race done and posted so I can watch it between Monaco and Indy.

Pedro Acosta wins the Moto2 race ahead of Roberts & Ogura. Vietti had a bike failure and Canet crashed so the points race is very close again.

Poor Marc. Could very well be his last race.

makes me wonder how lost Honda is. If Marc keeps on this form they might be facing a very long drought

What a crash by nakagami, his visor came off while hitting that rear tire with his head.

Nakagami isn't that smart. Could've been much worse.
