That race was... Somewhere between batshit and what the hell is happening?

If Bagnaia could just stay on the damn thing he'd wrap the title by August. Not now of course but he's put 45 points on the floor.

Miller crashes way, way, way too much for what he delivers. He's off that KTM and out of MotoGP by end of the season.

It's funny how the guys who crash out of podium spots cop all the criticism, while a crash out of a nothing spot goes unnoticed. Binder dropped it from 8th but Miller's the one losing his job at the end of the year right? Both are clearly trying to ride the KTM beyond its abilities - would it be better to keep within them and rack up anonymous finishes all year? This is MotoGP, if you're not wrecking occasionally you're not trying hard enough. I can't think of a single rider in the last 12 months that hasn't had their firing forecast because of a few consecutive wrecks. This time last year it was Rins ironically.

Be honest. Miller hardly brings results and makes too many mistakes. Of course his mistakes are noticed more often because he does fight his way to top positions every race, and someone falling of whilst being 3rd is different from someone falling out of 13th position. But the result is the same. Miller usually has 3-4 great races, 5 average races and the rest is shit. He´s the Valterri Bottas of MotoGP. And you would see it too if the boy didn´t happen to have the same nationality as you.

riders are lacking so much consistency that even Marquez could win his traditional Sachsenring win and put back into championship fight

I actually thought about that as I was typing it... "Hrmm, well, Binder threw it away too..." That said, I mean Miller did wreck it SIX times at CoTA.

But, to be fair, going back to last season... Binder had 1 retirement to Miller's 4... Miller still beat him to 5th in the points by 1 point. Going back to 2021, the story is the same. Miller had 4 retirements to Binder's 1, but Miller won the war finishing 4th in points to Binder's 6th.

I won't retract my previous statement, however Miller's results are not as piss poor as it seems. Top 5 in points and usually in with a chance at some wins. It just seems like he wrecks it more than he really does.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch prac or quali so didn't know Miller had wrecked that many times. Like I said though, it seems like that's part of MotoGP these days, particularly in non-race sessions. The riders topping the timesheets frequently come off after doing so. The race is where it really counts, and Miller's finishing record there isn't great I'll agree. But mediocre pace seems to be a far bigger factor in rider careers than a habit of dropping it, unless they also have a habit of injuring themselves while dropping it.

Binder and Miller is quite a team at KTM. If they can remember how to breath during races they'll be dynamic!

Repsol Honda are last in the teams championship and Dani Pedrosa is ahead of them despite starting one race :8:

So weird. And put a fit Marquez back on it and they win races again.
