The smartest move they could make is to get Cal on Marc's bike once he's back from his wrist injury, he's the only other rider that makes the Honda look decent.

Damn, gutted for Marc. That was a herculean effort after his first off, which he was lucky to save.

Who in the meantime? Pol, Zarco are a chance.

Honda wouldn't admit their own mistake in letting Cal go by bringing him to the works team. If they did it would be the biggest about face you could imagine. I'd sadly wager they would take the hit for the year rather than turning to Cal.

so, his first off moment was caused by his massive leaning angle. Could the highside also be consequence of that?

Not sure but his lean angle wasn't that high before his highside. Maybe his tires were just gone after his charge through the field.

Meanwhile, Honda's only riders right now are Nakagami and Alex Marquez. :whistling:

Kinda telling how bad the Honda is when their two best riders end up in hospital. It has the greatest potential of all bikes, obviously, but shit, their advantage won't stand if they don't fix it. It's not like Crutchlow is consistent on it either.

The eight-time champion is targeting the third round of the season, in Brno on 9 August, for a comeback, which should allow him to challenge for this year’s championship.

MotoGP’s traumatology specialist, Dr Xavier Mir, who is treating Márquez, said that the rider could be back in action in time for the Czech race, depending on the severity of the injury.

But he also warned that recuperation could take a further three to four weeks, which could mean Márquez’s first opportunity to score points this year is the sixth race of the season, at Misano in September.

But according to the newspaper El Periodico de Catalunya, Marquez is not ruling out returning to Jerez for this weekend's Andalusian Grand Prix, buoyed by the news that he escaped nerve damage.

Bloody hell, here I was thinking ohh I hope he can make a come back someday, nasty nasty break....and then he is declared fir for the next race????

How fit he actually will be is another question though. But at least he is back on the bike, but I do wonder if he crashes and hurts himself more how much of him being allowed to race is down to DORNA not wanting their superstar sitting on the sidelines.

:D Makes Mick Doohan with his career ending leg injuries look like a pussy :p

He is not in FP1 right now.

Probably won't know for sure until tomorrow's official entry deadline.

Nor in FP2. Well, if he isn't in these sessions then I'd be very surprised to see him race this weekend. :o

Rins and Crutchlow was slowest today, so they are uncertain too.

MM93 19th in FP3, never put in more than 2 fast laps together. Looked like in a lot of pain, and never really improved either. It's delusional to think he has something to win here.
