Such a shame for the race. Pedrosa had gone from last to 10th in about four corners

Crutchlow down, holding his knee.

And the season, pretty much makes it a snoozefest from now on

I like Jorge, but if he has to retire today, the podium would be awesome!

Rossi 2nd, Bautista 3rd. Oh man, this is going to be emotional...

Do you EVER have anything positive to say? All you do is moan about the state of things. Either have something constructive to say or don't bother.

Moving on...

Shame for Pedrosa, but nice result for Vale, Bautista and the memory of Simoncelli. Good job for Johnny Rea, kept it on the black stuff for a solid finish at his first attempt.

Nope, he does not.

Today's race was actually quite fun. Nice battle between Bradl, Bautista and Dovizioso. I will admit that it feels like we're kind of waiting for 2013 now, and it will be a shame that Stoner won't be part of it. But considering today's race - and the fact the Ducati was competitive - and add in a few more entries, the series looks in improving shape.

It's going to be fascinating to see whether the progress of the Ducati continues, or whether everything just came together in Misano for Rossi (+the benefit of no Hondas challenging of course).

I did find it ironic that the race after Rossi announces he is leaving Ducati, he has his most competitive ride for the manufacturer.

Outside of Lorenzo, the race was very enjoyable today.

Yeah! The only thing of course is that Lorenzo was several seconds up the road and cruising on a bike Rossi will ride next year.

One part of me (the conspiracy theorist part) was wondering if Rossi was hanging back to allow Lorenzo to cruise off into the distance.

I doubt it, but it does seem odd how he was really battling Bradl, but then could pull away. Especially seeing as the Ducati seems to be worse in the second part of the race. Maybe they've sorted the problems or he just went easy early on.
