As long as they keep it 2 different series I think it won't be bad. Motogp prototypes, SBK production bikes. When the economic situation will get better for the manufactures they should get rid of the CRT and make some better rules involving costumer bikes.

As expected, the previous provisional calendar was wrong. This is the official one:

Code:
Round 1       24 Feb      Australia       Phillip Island
Round 2       10 Mar      India           Buddh
Round 3       7 Apr       Spain           Aragon
Round 4       28 Apr      Netherlands     Assen
Round 5       12 May      Italy           Monza
Round 6       26 May      Europe          Donington
Round 7       9 Jun       Portugal        Portimao
Round 8       23 Jun      TBA             TBA
Round 9       30 Jun      Italy           Imola
Round 10      21 Jul      Russia          Moscow
Round 11      4 Aug       Great Britain   Silverstone
Round 12      1 Sep       Germany         Nurburgring
Round 13      29 Sep      USA             Laguna Seca
Round 14      6 Oct       France          Magny-Cours
Round 15      20 Oct      Spain           Jerez

Misano, Miller and Brno are gone, but expect one of them to be the TBA round in June.

Sykes has no grip. Melandri now the biggest contender.

Great last Race

Sykes in the lead and Biaggi 6th

Biaggi needs a 5th Place to win the Championship

9 Laps to go

Damn I missed race 2.

The result is so like F1 1984 championship. Not only are the champion and the runner-up divided by 0,5 points. Also Sykes won the aborted race with half points at Monza. Who could have sensed back then, that this decision to red flag Monza will cost Sykes the world title.

My respect to Biaggi and especially to Sykes. Amazing season.

tom sykes led nearly three times as many laps as anyone else this year

melandri won the most races

sykes scored the most points finishes, finishing one more race than biaggi and four more than melandri
