amazing how nascar engineers the championship for maximum excitement yet still has the least exciting races

Strange how all of the cut line guys were up front at the end. Strange how all of their teammates finished behind them.

Pretty lame Cup race...I dont recall any good finishes in this series yet. At least JJ was eliminated round one.

The fact that it only took the 48 team 36 laps to swap out the rear end assembly is fucking impressive.

Oh gee.. harvick needs to win or he's out... no qual and barely any practice and he just happened to dominate the show.. Right. It's so hard to trust these "storybook wins" but at least his crewguys "BELIEVE! BELIEVE! BELIEVE!"

No doubt in my mind that car had something we can't even fathom under the hood, shocking that was Harvick's first win since Phoenix.

i missed the race, sounds like it was boring as shit.

meanwhile in Whelen Modified Tour
Spoiler:
Doug Coby won today's race at Stafford

this puts Coby & Ryan Preece tied for the points lead heading into Thompson

Woody Pitkat is only 4 points behind

:flag:

(see NASCAR, even your own series can show that you don't need a gimmicky points system to have a good title fight heading into the season finale)

The non Chase version of this championship would be getting good right now.

I do laugh at the commentators going on about "how close the point battle is between places 9 through 13" when NASCAR resets the points....

When I read that Harvick had won, my response was basically: "Yeah, that sounds about right".

I'm surprised it wasn't Kyle Busch though. I thought he had a better story line.

Oh well.
