So incredibly sad :(

He seemed like such a nice guy and he was a great pit reporter.

I hope he was able to enjoy the Bristol Tribute race to him and saw how much he was loved by the NASCAR community.

Really nice all the support Fox and everyone did the past few weeks. Something a really felt lacking to Benny Parsons (and Bobby Hamilton).

I got to meet Steve a decade ago at Atlanta. A really nice guy, and a great journalist.

He was one of NASCAR's best reporters. By all accounts, he was a great guy off camera. He fought his battle with cancer with a tremendous amount of courage and kept a positive attitude throughout his battle. I am glad that he got to see the love from the racing community one last time on Sunday.
