weather been awful thus far here in the Carolinas

CARS Tour washed out last night & tonight. Both races have been postponed with no reschedule date slated yet

nothing on track tomorrow, NASCAR portion of the weekend starts on Friday.

new surface is insanely fast - Pro Late Models were down into the 17 second bracket in qualifying before it got washed out.

Ty Gibbs was fastest in practice at 18.145 seconds/124.001 MPH. Terry Labonte had the previous fastest qualifying lap at North Wilkesboro at 119.016 MPH.

The delay was initially for lightning. Not sure if that’s why they’re still stopped though.

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 448 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
