I forget how much better at the 500 FOX is than NBC in this era

Bestwick hardly even raises his voice at the finish, just an emotionless "The legacy continues"

You know DW and maybe even Larry would've been goddamn near tears and excited at JR getting a 500

Also, that car was suspiciously fast. It was a crap package that year, for sure, but damn that JR was clearly the fastest thing at that track all week, and by a large margin too

In the early 2000s, DEI engines at the plate tracks were crazy strong. They had found ways to take advantage of gray areas in the rules to improve airflow.

Great Moments in Stock Car Racing: Juan Montoya's car breaks at the worst possible time, sending him spinning into a jet dryer at speed, on this day in 2012.

I've uploaded the Speedvision broadcast of the 1999 ARCA Winchester 200 at Winchester Speedway. I've made these races public on YouTube for now with the current live motorsports hiatus, and plan to upload more stuff. Next race I will most likely upload is the infamous 1999 DuQuoin race.

1999 ARCA race from DuQuoin. This is the race with the Kimmel/Gibson flips, but also features a pretty decent battle for the win at the end.

NASCAR's newest upload:

As famous as this race was, I completely forgot about the almost ARCA-esque first lap pileup in this one.
