Reminds me of the "Superpunch" from The Matrix Revolutions. :D

I'm not sure how many people here have experienced it (although I'm sure the majority actually have), but that feeling of that incredible high - "I can't believe it, my driver is in the lead with 5 laps to go!!!" - to the crash of feeling the absolute lowest on the totem pole is hard to swallow. I felt sick to my stomach, even. I think it has happened to Gordon a few times over the years, and the last guy I can think of that it happened to was Montoya at Richmond last year (Depends paint scheme FTW).

At the end of the day, last night was a racin' deal, no matter what a die-hard Jeff Gordon fan or Brad Keselowski hater will tell you. Brad went for the gap - there most certainly was one - and Jeff aggressively defended. I won't say he came down too much, but he did come down just enough for that damn side skirt to do what it was practically designed to do.

I've been saying it since Chicagoland when it started being more common - it's a fuckin' Ben Hur weapon in the right situation. "Don't need to police it", my ass.

The fight, I don't even know. Did it happen? Whatever. I was more concerned about Jeff's back during the whole thing. Not exactly wise in his position, IMO.

Phoenix will be insane. That is all.

Did you see how far they yanked Logano's side skirt after he had the flat tire?

Is it just me or is that guy grabbing the other guys arm rather then trying to actually punch Kes?

Well both of those guys seem to be Gordon's crewmen, so I don't know why he would be trying to stop him (unless he's the rarest species in the garage area: one who tries to break up fights).

Stewart and Harvick, probably my 2 favorite drivers ever, cause they love stirring up shit. Maybe even Krut too since he's no longer a big asshole.

Man, I just love Nascar. They turned the whole chase in a 10 race long Bristol beat and banging. This thing is a success even with the Dale Jr fuck up. And the race had on-track action, may get better next year, but sure had. Goodyear and Nascar are trying to make this sport better and they had succeeded here.

Cars getting better on the long runs made for a 3-way battle for the win, and crazy strats and mental restarts on the end, all with the chase drivers in jeopardy of being taken out in those crazy 3wide restarts. And then JJ holding down Harvick and Kes thus helping Jeff Gordon. That was titties.

Quote:
NASCAR penalizes crew members and crew chiefs, No drivers penalized: NASCAR has assessed penalties to crew members from the #5 and #24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams for their involvement in post-race incidents on Nov. 2 at Texas Motor Speedway. In addition, the crew chiefs from those two teams also have been penalized.
Jeremy Fuller, a crew member with the #5 team, along with Dwayne Doucette and Jason Ingle, crew members with the #24 team, each have been fined $25,000 and suspended from NASCAR through the completion of the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship points races. All three were found to be in violation of:
" Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing
" Section 12-4.9: Behavioral penalty - involved in a post-race physical altercation with a driver on pit road
Dean Mozingo, a crew member with the #24 team, has been fined $10,000 and suspended from NASCAR through the completion of the next three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship points races. He was found to be in violation of:
" Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing
" Section 12-4.9: Behavioral penalty - involved in a post-race physical altercation with another crew member on pit road
Kenny Francis, crew chief of the #5 team, and Alan Gustafson, crew chief of the No. 24 team, have each been fined $50,000 and placed on NASCAR probation through the completion of the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship points races. They were found to be in violation of:
" Section 9-4A: Crew chief assumes responsibility for the actions of his team members
" Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing
" Section 12-4.9: Behavioral penalty
"While the intensity and emotions are high as we continue through the final rounds of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the actions that we saw from several crew members Sunday following the race at Texas are unacceptable," said Robin Pemberton, NASCAR senior vice president, competition and racing development. "We reviewed the content that was available to us of the post-race incident along pit road, and identified several crew members who crossed the line with their actions, specifically punching others. We therefore have penalized four crew members as well as their crew chiefs, as they ultimately are responsible for members of their team per the NASCAR rule book," Pemberton continued. "A NASCAR championship is at stake, but we can't allow behavior that crosses the line to go unchecked, particularly when it puts others in harm's way."(NASCAR)(11-4-2014)
