Why do I have this funny feeling that it's only a matter of time before there is a huge incident at Michigan that will force NASCAR to implement slower speeds or small restrictor plates?

Turn to FS1 NOW. Apparently only 1 truck gets a lap in during final round truck quals. On tape delay. About to show it.

That's it! Only ONE driver was able to complete a lap in the final round. And, thus, win the #KeystoneLight pole. Ryan Blaney! #NASCAR

I wish Ryan would've gone REALLY slow on the lap, just to be funny.

Hopefully NASCAR doesn't overreact to this and change stuff. This is 100% on the teams.

Me too... I would have laughed my ass off if he would have just shut the engine off in turn 1 and coasted around winning the pole at a staggering 60 mph... :D

Question is now, how do they determine who starts 2-12?

I'm guessing they'd put Reuitmann in the car if he's available or Maybe Sauter since he's already at the track and has experience with BKR this year. .

2003 was close enough, that was only a couple of inches/mph away from being a catch fence tearing down crash.

Thank god for the safer barriers or that would have been an Ernie Irvan for sure. Also he is the first driver to have to do the "don't get out til we tell you to" procedure.

I will only because trucks at Michigan tends to be pretty entertaining and I don't think it's 100% for certain he'll win.

I'm interested to see how Kvapil does in a good truck. I know he's technically a Cup driver, but I don't tend to mind when it's guys who have crap Cup rides (Cassill, Wise, Yeley etc.).
