Post subject:  TBK-sponsored ARCA car

Hey guys, been a while since Ive been around these parts. Check in every now and then but Im sure there are many new members so let me re-introduce myself.

My name is Andy Cryan. I am 25 years old, from Buffalo, NY. Currently residing in Kannapolis, NC.

Started racing go-karts at the age of 9. Ive driven anything and everything it seems. go-karts, jr dragster, Allison legacy cars, legends cars, street/super stocks and an ARCA car.

Well, recently I was cleared to run in the ARCA series for tracks 1 mile and smaller as of right now. We have a car that is basically ready to go, we just need sponsorship.

We are currently looking at a couple of options but since the car we have is a 110" wheel base car, it should be driven at the tracks that are closest to 1 mile in length, plus that would help us get cleared to run the bigger tracks.

We would like to run the Southern Illinois 100 at the Duquoin Fairgrounds(yes the dirt track!) on September 1, 2014. With running that race, that would then get us cleared to run the Zloop 150 at Kentucky Motor Speedway on September 19, 2014, which is a TV race on FOX Sports 1.

So, I spoke with Joey, and he said this would be OK to post this thread as basically a request for donation thread.

With the goal set at $15,000 to run 2 races(which isn't a whole lot of $$$ to be honest), TBK would have their very own sponsored race car. Kinda like the internet sensation DOGECOIN, but way more mature and cooler, haha. Anyways, feel free to ask questions, comments, or if you know anyone who would be willing to flat out sponsor the car, speak up. Would be cool to do our own version of this, and make it pretty cool.

Thanks guys! Feel free to pass the link around the internet. Gotta raise that $$$

It's a good idea but remember what the core of this forum is based on, illegally rebroadcasting copyrighted racing footage.

If we are talking about a small sticker, I don't think that's a problem and some kind of a insider alias could be used. More for fun than for advertising because the latter one this forum does not need or want. But thinking about the relatively small size of this forum, I don't think this is realistic.

I checked that gofundme.com page, I don't think you're going to get much donations because it doesn't tell what each donator gets if the funding is successful, "may even be able to put you name on the car" is not enough info. Good idea, not so good execution.

$15,000 is not a small sticker.

$15,000 is two races which is the plan. $7500 would get us to duquoin. It wouldn't be a small sticker either. It would be the main sponsor on the car.

Also, name on the car being the "special thanks to" so and so.

Also, I know is a small forum but if people posted the link on other forums etc then it's def possible.

So it's like one of them Brett Bodine projects then?

Nope, but I was assuming smaller amount would get something smaller. Usually these crowdfounding projects have different "perks" and more you pay, more you get... but nothing like this is stated on the gofundme.com page so I guess not in this case.

So if you get lets say 1000 from 15 different forums, who gets how much sponsor space? I think you need to rethink this, rewrite the introduction and invent some kind of a graded system where you also clearly state what one gets for certain amount of money. I think this would be even then a bit unrealistic but right now it's so vague. Sorry for being critical :D

I figured it was pretty obvious, the more you pay, the bigger your name is on the car.

I think you are over thinking it and making it more difficult that what it really is.

$$$ name on car $$$

If you are in the area or come to the race, heck, we'd put you to work.

Think from the donator's point of view.

Used the search on that site, examples of the "rewards" levels:

Scotty, it won't let me thank your post, but, y'know, +1.

Scotty, you hit the nail on the head. This is my way of clicking the "Thanks" button since there isn't one by the "report" button.

I trust Coyotekart1 that this isn't some kind of vaporware deal

Remember that this is an untelevised ARCA race (Duquoin dirt race) so don't think so big of it. Kentucky is a broadcasted race. Like Scotty, I'd also like to know more about the team and if Coyotekart has any more plans after this

Several members here have brought up good points, like this one. Have to consider the ROI. Sure, Dogecoin got a lot of eyeballs, but that's what they're looking for. I'm not sure if this place getting a ton of attention from any racing series or media groups is a good thing.

I still wish you the best of luck on getting sponsorship. If you make it to Du Quoin & Kentucky, you might see me there!

To be honest, I'd be surprised if they weren't already somewhat aware of us.

Its ok, the money which Eddy wires me I send onto GCHQ via military internal mail.

Its then filtered into Bernies bank accounts via Edward Snowden.

All is safe here.

To be fair, if some members are really looking and donating money, it should go to the users here who provide some websapce for videos.
