And there is Darlington next week. A track so ridiculous that even newish payment and excess downforce still don't quite completely offset the bit of fun it provides.

We'll see about that. Watched this whole race in about an hour thanks to DVR. Really, that's the best way to watch these races.

Darlington, where you used to run 5 laps then want 4 tyres. Then Regan Smith stayed out and won.

This race and Vegas are examples of why you don't add more downforce to a car that's already too aero dependent. Massive field spread and no racing. Woo.

There's a Facebook page for UK NASCAR fans, and they're all giving the race 8 and 9 out of 10. Did I miss something? :?

I didn't think it was that bad of a race either, nobody truly dominated and the result wasn't a foregone conclusion. As for those 8 & 9 ratings, I guess some people don't know the difference between a race and a finish.

This. And when people still look at random stats of a race (like # of green flag passes, lead changes, how many finish on the lead lap, etc) and call it a great race just based on that.

Maybe NASCAR will expand to the UK just like the NFL. That should be lol worthy.

Besides the last moments, like from 25 to go to the caution that I found it boring, I really enjoyed. The long green run with Gordon staying out each time longer, that when he came back the last time was already kicking ass of everyone, not loosing track position at all, was something I always wanted to see and it`s the first time I could see it, ever since I started watching 10 years ago.

But the race was an rollercoaster of emotions in some ways.

Rockingham (uk) was kinda banking on this (and indycar.....AND champcar!) When I did some work experience for them nearly 10 years ago. :whistling:
