Stupid ending to an overall stupid year in Nationwide. Can only pray that tomorrow has some sort of actual nice miracle happen where Matt wins.

There were only a few Nationwide races this year that I watched more than half of, and I think I completely ignored 75% of them.

No regrets.

After reading my Facebook feed I could tell that this race (and season) was a sham. Good thing I didn't see many of the Nationwide races this season.

I think this isn't making this thread any better.

It's funny because it's actually just better "shitty" finishes.

Sam Hornish Jr - 1 win 16 top 5 25 top 10
Austin Dillon - 0 wins 13 top 5 22 top 10

So Sam had 3 more finishes from 2-5 than Austin, but one more DNF, and worse finishes from 11th-43rd. Otherwise he had the better season up front.

I second the "fuck the dillons" also.

At the time I was thinking that Hornish should have pitted for tyres on that caution when Kes and the others did. It might have given him a better finish. The cautions didn't help though.

I'm disappointed Hornish didn't win. I hate the fact the cup guys always dominate this series. The racing has been crappy all year, but I must have been watching a different race to everyone else last night. I thought it was pretty good.

Problem for Hornish was that his only available set of tires were a 20 lap used set.. which I think was similar to what he had on his car at that point.

Hornish didn't have any new tyres left at the end though, so pitting probably wouldn't have helped him at all.

The racing itself wasn't that bad this year, it's just that the domination of cup drivers made it seem worse than it actually was. Personally, I don't really see an issue with cup drivers racing in these events, it's always happened and there were only 6 of them who entered races on a regular basis, and of those Kahne & Harvick only started 11 races each. The problem comes from the fact that they almost always drive for cup teams, if that were to be disallowed then the series would be in a much more healthy state. Take Kyle Busch for example, he drove for himself last year and scored no wins, drove for Gibbs this year and won 12 times.

I was actually looking forward to this season before it started. It appeared to me that the drivers that eventually finished in the top 12 in the standings would all be consistent threats to win during the year, but it ended up being an utterly damp squib.

Never has a season promised so much and delivered so little.

Watching that K&N race... the chode in the Krispy Kreme car dumps the leader in the final turn on the last lap and then proceeds to celebrate like he just won the Cup title.

NASCAR's explanation to not throwing a red when they should: it was routine cleanup.

Most have come to expect this from the Krispy Kreme filled wrecking ball.
