The penultimate race of the season for all three major series. Will there be a repeat of the craziness from last year or could the championship race be blown wide open?

Trucks (35 entries)
Nationwide (41 entries)
Sprint Cup (43 entries)

The points battle between kenseth and johnson has been close for the last several weeks but I have had absolutely no excitement over it. It's not that I don't like either of them but just that the chase has been so bland and everything seems artificial.

It doesn't help that the races have really sucked. Although I did enjoy Martinsville.

Yes, you see, when AERO PUSH isn't a factor, the racing ain't bad. Martinsville was great.

ATTN: To ISC and the idiots in charge at Phoenix... Put the grass back where it belongs on the back stretch.

That is all.

Yes, it's not easy to do and sometimes requires a bit of give and take to pull it off or else wreck, so I like it too.

And don't know if it's due to the tyres or the new surface, but the cars have looked so loose on new Phoenix, similar to new Kansas. Like someone dumped bear grease all over it.

Last years race was pretty ho-hum until the Bowyer-Gordon fiasco late. Then Danica oiling turn 3 for the last lap also owned. Great finish line accident.

It sounds like things got heated in Truck Series practice after an crash involving Darrell Wallace Jr. and Chad Frewaldt. According to what I read on Twitter, Wallace was not happy with Frewaldt and walked over to his truck and confronted him.

Darrell Wallace is going to a backup truck. Frewaldt is driving either the #38 or #39 truck for RSS Racing.

Wallace may have thrown punches into Frewaldt's truck when he confronted him.

Here is a video of what happened between Darrell Wallace Jr. and Chad Frewaldt in practice.

Both drivers were called to meet with NASCAR officials.

Holy shit. I mean I understand getting mad in the heat of competition, and you'll always be upset when tearing up equipment but in practice to run up and throw punches is pretty ridiculous.

Did he throw punches? Also I'd be pissed if I got wrecked like that in practice. What the hell was frewaldt trying to do there?

MRN saying no one should expect a penalty. Dunno who's in the wrong, but it looked like a pure racing incident to me. Wallace overreacted, however.

From what I'm hearing it was more of a slap then a punch.

But honestly, considering Chad's experience in a truck, he was just holding his line (which looked a little higher than the race line) and Wallace turned down.

It looked more of a few smacks to the helmet not a few punches thrown. It's more of a racing deal but the problem is it's practice and more room than that should be given going into a corner.
