The Sprint Cup Series heads back to Pocono, providing insomniacs around the world another 4 hours of sleep for the second consecutive week.

But seriously, go watch the Indycars @ Mid-Ohio. Your brain won't turn into mush from the monotonous boredom of watching the 48 put a beating on the field.

Sprint Cup Entry List (44 cars)
Nationwide @ Iowa Entry List (40 cars)
Truck Entry List (35 trucks)
ARCA Entry List (35 cars)

ARCA and Cup will probably be dull, but the other two races should be fun.

Ever year, I find it hard to believe the truck race is only 50 laps. That is almost online pick-up race distance, lol.

You know, I try to optimistic about races but I just can't help but think how shitty it's going to be to see Jimmie lead 130+ of the 160 laps. Probably will just throw a pool BBQ and dvr it.

Travis Sauter, who is driving Joe Nemechek's #87 at Iowa is the grandson of Jim Sauter and the son of Tim Sauter. He's won all 9 Late Model features at Madison International Raceway in Wisconsin this year.

For the first time since 1996, the family trip to Connecticut\Pocono is happening, and I'm not on it. :(

There was one year where the trip didn't happen for anyone because of the wedding of a close family friend, but this year, my mom and sister will both be at the track on Sunday while I'm at home watching. Too many damn weddings to travel for\be in this year, and not enough vacation time.

Well, think positive, at least you don't have to deal with the Waterbury and Danbury traffic on 84.

ha! It's usually fine on Friday mornings when we leave Bristol, and fine when we drive back on the Monday. We drive through Terryville, which swings on down to the 84 and more or less avoids Waterbury. We also come back that way, as well... I've also never found Danbury that bad whenever we go through.

Waterbury though, yeah, it does suck. Quite glad we avoid it.

Go through Danbury about 5:30-6:30 on a Friday night.

On the plus side, it's much more comfortable napping on the couch then in the stands at the track.

From the stands, Pocono is great. I agree that it sucks from the couch, but it's a fantastic facility. It's also easier to get there to see a race than it is to get to Loudon, since every one of my fellow Eastern Canadian race fans seems to think it's the ONLY OPTION OMG. Notice how full the NHMS stands are every single race. haha

But yeah, I love the shit out of Pocono as a facility. The racing hasn't been that great since they paved the place, however. :(

Yeah 84 in Danbury at 5:30-6:30 on a Friday sucks. My Fiance works right next to the mall at Water Works and gets out at 5:30. She hates it so much.

See I like going to Loudon. Went in 2010 and 2012 and the stands were much more empty in 2010. In fact, pretty sure I'm buying tickets to the Sept Loudon race this weekend. Just gotta convince one of my buddies to take the 4th ticket.

I love Loudon, and I've been there twice. The few times we tried getting tickets, we had a rough time getting any. Of course, times have changed since then. haha

Stub Hub has a bunch in turn 1 or 3 & 4 right now for $35 each. Not bad considering I can get 2 tix to Yankee Stadium for $40 but you end up spending $100 on top of that on food and beer in the park for 2 people plus the $30+ on parking. I'll take the $70+$20 on food/beer that you can take in for the race over the $170+ on the Yankees game. Ball games seem cheap but in the end, they kill you.

Ricky Ehrgott, who ran some ARCA races for Mike Allgaier last year will be in the #81 truck at Pocono.
