Thought the race was pretty good. Much preferred this to last weekends 500.

Was a bit surprised by Hamlin's comments as there seemed to be way more side by side/close racing than I can remember with the gen-5 car at Phoenix. Next week's race will be a better test of course.

Clean air will always mean something. And don't forget that oftentimes, the guys up front can stay there because...they're fucking fast.

It did seem like it was still really tough to pass, but I was a big generous with the fast forward button on my DVR. I have a feeling a lot of that was due to the new track surface at Phoenix still.

You can race whatever car you want, but when the tires are as hard as cement and grip like velcro there's not much you can do. The biggest bitch about the racing starts and ends with Goodyear coupled with NASCAR's need to have a completely level playing field, which apparently includes the removal of tire wear from the equation.

too much aero-grip. they should drastically reduce the spoiler, then we'll see who can really drive a car

Interesting to hear Kyle sometimes downshifting in middle of 1 and 2 in the Nationwide race (48 minutes in).
