My gripes with last night.

#1 The race is way to long for only 18 cars. It needs to be at most 30-40 laps (20 would be ideal but the days of a half hour race in the middle of the afternoon is over). Sadly that won't sell TV ads during FOX prime time Saturday night unless you make even more of a circus out of it just so it lasts 2 hours.

#2 The fan voting shit is fucking stupid. The fact that if you vote with your Mobile phone means your vote counts double? Are you kidding me? Plus no one ever explained the fact that since 6 cars were already out that the elimination vote would of been deemed pointless. Awesome job NASCAR of telling your fans that. Also, I don't give a shit what the bimbo of the year wears in here post race pose down with the winner. It is a god damn racing suit, no women is going to look sexy in one unless you cut out a hole for boob cleavage.

#3 The fact that they ran one single commercial with 10 fucking laps to go. WHY? I guarantee you 90% of the fans don't remember what the commercial was because they could hardly give a shit and they were so fucking dumbfounded that a "sport" would go to a commercial during the most important part of the mother fucking race. Imagine if the NFL or the NBA took a 30 second commercial break with a minute left in a close game. Even with the race being an exhibition it makes NASCAR look more like a fucking joke.

#4 Frankie Stoddard start and parking his car after 3 laps. NASCAR should not pay them for that bullshit (I realize they probably don't have another speedway car, but still). NASCAR should mandate that you participate for at least 40%(pulling a number out of my ass) of the race to get payed unless you have a legitimate problem.

#5 I drank way to much and took this race way to seriously.

The racing was fine until they started going single file with around 10 to go. That really dumbfounded me. I mean fuck, Joey fucking Logano wanted to race as did Matt Kenseth but everyone else was content in not doing shit till the white flag. The car itself looked unstable as fuck but they could at least make moves. Every race at Daytona can't be a photo finish but it was a letdown that Biffle didn't try going low or rouging Kevin up, granted Kevin would get pay back down the road so that was actually smart on Greg's part.

We are so spoiled today compared to 20-25 years ago. Imagine if the 500 ended like the 1992 one with 5 cars on the lead lap. Heads would explode.

Oh well, bring on the rest of the week.

That's not Nascar's fault but the TV channel. American TV is almost unwatchable for me with all those commercial breaks. I'm happy I can at least watch the Nationwide series here in Europe with only a few commercials during cautions on MotorsTV. Watching streams for Cup (and Arca last night) is almost unbearable.

It's not Nascar's fault as such, but it wouldn't happen in any other sport. I'm no expert, but it seems to me like FOX is far more important to Nascar than Nascar is to FOX.

It was still a terrible decision whether it was Fox or NASCAR's call.

I have a huge problem with her voice. It's so monotone and drones on and on. I changed the channel when they interviewed her. Thankfully there is a hockey game on NBC.

I'm gonna need a new liver and kidneys, and that's before lap 20. Of the Duels.

I sent him a nice response.... if she wins the pole they won't shut up about it for the rest of the week.
