Considering that Keselowski is my driver in line to be my favorite after Gordon retires, tonight was pretty good for me  .

Feel sorry for Truex dropping out of the top 10 in the last race despite another good run, that team hasn't gotten near what they deserved this year.

Excellent job Brad! I'm very happy to see him win. Due to streams being taken down and the quality of the racing being awful this year, this was probably my least watched NASCAR season ever - but regardless, I can't think of too many drivers I'd rather see win the championship than him.

Well-deserved Championship all around between Brad Keselowski's early days in Nascar driving for teams like Keith Coleman Racing, subbing for Kelly Sutton in the truck series, and driving for the Mittler Brothers and just a few years later he's at the top of the sport. Roger Penske has been waiting a long time for this as well. He's been close with Rusty Wallace but finally he's gotten the one thing that's eluded him in racing.

I mentioned this on my Twitter, and actually heard Brad mention this to Jimmie just now on Speed... but if you take away Jimmie Johnson's problems, Brad doesn't finish 15th. He finishes 16th, and wins the title by 1 point.

Disappointing to see the 48 have problems, because that would have been epic.

And THAT is how a NASCAR champion should celebrate.

I thought I'd be able to say "I was at Jeff Gordon's only win of the year, I should go more often". So much for that.

Can't wait to see clips from the SportsCentER interview. We have our own SportsCentRE here, and he's not on it. haha

You know you're watching SportsCentre when they show nothing but hockey like SportsCenter shows everything BUT hockey.

Having seen it for a second time, Keselowski's SC interview is fucking amazing.

The problem with that conclusion is that you are assuming that Keselowski would have still taken it as easy as he did if Johnson had not gone out with his issues.

I have a feeling that wouldn't have been the case.

Although I'm satisfied with the result, the championship ended up pretty disappointing tbh. It could never be as good as last year, but at one point we had 3 guys with a legitimate shot at the title, but 2 fell out with bad reliability/luck. I feel like Keselowski could've won it anyway, but after Hamlin faded away and Johnson broke 2 weeks in a row, he didn't really have to do much to win the title (although he was fucking incredible at Texas). Last year, Stewart and Edwards flat out RACED for the championship every week until the last race, and for me it was much more satisfying to watch Tony win last year than Brad win this year even though I like Kez more than Tony.
