I can't wait for the provisional system to come back.

I wonder how many provisionals they would offer. I can't even remember the old rules.

When a plate race can only turn out 44 cars you know there's something badly wrong.

Considering the fact that 3 of the entries that have been at a number of the races recently (#19, #91 and #95) are start and parks, I'm fine with 44 cars since there would be a higher percentage of cars there to actually compete.

I thought that plate races see entries that would usually start and park at least try and go the full distance because of the much better chance of a good finish and much bigger money.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I think there are some cases where that happens. I can see several normal start and park teams trying to run the entire distance. Joe Nemechek comes to mind because he's always seems to run well at Daytona and Talladega. The #23, #26, #30, #33 and #98 teams are others that I could see trying to run the entire race.

As for the truck series, I don't expect to see a lot of starting and parking this week. Mike Harmon, who has started and parked a lot this year usually runs the entire race at Daytona and Talladega. That's what he did in the Nationwide Series with his own car and he usually parked in most of the other races he ran. I remember him getting a Top 20 finish at Talladega a few years ago in his Nationwide Car.

The only really likely parker I see on the Truck entry list is the 07 truck. As for Cup, the 23 will run the full distance for sure.

Joe usually doesn't run the full race at dega for whatever reason. It is odd to me cause he use to run decent there in the past. By, when the money isn't there the money isn't there.

The 30 is probably 50/50 as well.

They are testing the 2013 cars at Talladega today.

Pretty grainy image but the spoiler looks even shorter than what they use now.

Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick have done photoshoots with their 2013 cars, so a full reveal at Charlotte might come after all.

The #12 is a Penske car. I wonder why they put the #12 on the car and not #2 or #22, the numbers they normally run. Appearently Brad Keselowski was testing the #12 car.

I would guess it's a courtesy to Dodge.
