That was a long slide to the wall.

They talk about the paving of the infield being safer but in situations like this, I really think it makes some impacts worse. The cars/trucks tend to hook into the wall at a steeper angle when they have the pavement all the way there (Paludo's wreck at Daytona is a perfect example). If it had been grass it would have been a much longer, gradual slide and he may have ended up stopping without contact. Of course, the cars/equipment/SAFER is a great combo anyways, but it's still something worth mentioning.

And let's ignore the aesthetics debate. I know I've worn out my welcome on that one. :lol:

One of the better truck races in a mile and a half track in a while IMO, especially the second half. Great comeback for Buescher
