The season Jeff's had, it's almost to be expected nowadays. Damn shame.

At least he had time to salvage some sort of decent finish out of this, but my god how much more of this can happen this season?

Yeah, he's still got a good car... and if they can make it through a pit cycle, he'll have a 20-lap window where a caution would be a godsend.

Still, he just ran down and passed Jimmie to be only one lap down. Bleh.

So is the big one the only interesting thing to happen so far? Just got home from work.

Weird, the 24 is still pulling away from the 48, who is on much fresher tires. That's somewhat crazy.

Yeah, seems that set the bar a bit too high as far as contact for the rest of the race.

Please let this somehow work out for Gordon.

Invisibris caution. Thanks for that NASCAR, you just ruined Jeffs chances.

This caution also means Gordon can come in and get fresh tyres.

He still has a mountain to climb in 50 laps.

Going back to Gordon's "weird" thing he felt when he had to pit, it reminds me of when Jimmie Johnson's car felt "weird" at Homestead in 2005. They had no friggin' clue what it was, they didn't pit, and then a few laps later were in the wall with a cut tire.

7 years on, and I still don't know why the 48 didn't pit for four fresh tires that day. haha
