Dover is a tricky one to make a good tire for. When they ran the soft tires that wore out, we'd be racing until someone popped a right front and knocked the wall down for a yellow and a tire change, then repeat. It was the case in both Busch and Cup. I agree Dover has sported some pretty racy events, but recently they've been kind of ho hum. SPEED should be all over the fact that their boy Kyle got his last win here in 1995 in the first concrete race! A then rookie ( :? holy crap i'm old) Bobby Labonte was second and hard charging Ted Musgrave third.

I was at that race... oh and Bobby Labonte was a rookie in '93

Oops, you're right.. He was actually just coming off of his first win. I forgot he was in Gordon's rookie class. My memory is slipping in my old age!c

I'm not a fan of having too many night races on the schedule, but I think a night race here at Dover would be awesome.

I love this track. It's an oddball. It's concrete, a high-banked one-mile oval, really treacherous, always seems like crazy fun things happen here.

Mike Skinner just looped it off of 2 in the 52 car.

Didn't know Mike Skinner still raced.

Not expecting much from the Truck race expect Harvick leading all but the laps when he pits, will be a snoooze fest.

Dover is a fun track to watch a race from because it is possible to run side-by-side for multiple laps in a row. Also the track narrows up about 10 feet off the corners makes for some dicey moments.

Is it me or they laying down a lot more rubber in the corners than usual?

Nah, it looks similar to last year, if I recall.. there were a lot of comments about how tough it was on the restarts, due to the way the rubber was.

This little girl did a better job with the anthem than a lot of people a lot older and more experienced than her.
