This is the part I don't understand. Why did Kurt drive up under Newman's car on pit road? Newman spinning in that wreck was completely unrelated. Unless Kurt thinks Newman did something to cause him to wreck? I'm massively confused.

That's what newman says, but at the start of the video newman's crew is nowhere to be seen. I doubt newman's crew, if they were actually next to the car when kurt hit it, would leave the scene and then return later to yell at kurt. But who knows, need more video.

Newman's crew wasn't around the car when Kurt hit it. The crew was mad because Kurt did a massive burnout through the 39's pit stall after he crashed. The 39 crew was still out sweeping and cleaning up the pit stall when Kurt tore through it, hence the reason the big guy went up to the 51 team's pit and confronted them. Kurt's crew chief said over the radio that Newman's crew was unhappy with what he did. So in turn Kurt freaked out and threw a tantrum in the car (reports say) and then rammed Newman after the race.

"Kurt drilled me in pit lane and said that he was taking his helmet off and he didn't see where he was going, which I'm pretty sure there were 42 other guys that are taking their helmets off and doing whatever for the last 10 years and that's the first time that's happened to me. "

According to wiki:

A tantrum (or temper tantrum or tirade or hissy fit) is an emotional outburst, usually associated with children or those in emotional distress, that is typically characterized by stubbornness, crying, screaming, yelling, shrieking, defiance, angry ranting, a resistance to attempts at pacification and, in some cases, violence. Physical control may be lost, the person may be unable to remain still, and even if the "goal" of the person is met he or she may not be calmed. A tantrum may be expressed in a tirade: a protracted, angry, or violent speech

Tantrums are one of the most common forms of problematic behaviour in young children, but tend to decrease in frequency and intensity as the child grows older.

I just had to laugh about this.

I just watched the highlights on Sky, and did anyone see Miss Sprint Cup Crying in Victory lane? Even SHE wanted a Hendrick win at last!

Man, at what point do you decide it's not even worth it? I can't imagine doing something that just made me that angry all the time. It probably wouldn't hurt him if he was given a break, voluntarily or not. I can't even imagine.

Jeff Gluck was bitching on twitter about how Kurt got penalized and Danica didn't. I pretty much tweeted him back saying his was a moron. How are those 2 incidents in anyway comparable?

I wonder how Kurt and Kyle were like growing up, and how their parents raised them. Considering how they act like spoiled, insufferable manchildren when things don't go their way, I could only imagine what it was like.

Because they both ran into another car after the race was over?

Danica didn't get penalised for the incident at Dega? L.O.L.

Kurt's radio just makes me laugh and facepalm at the same time.

Any other driver would have been punished for what Danica did.

Kurt also has a history of running into cars on pit road with crew members in the vicinity (Dover '07)

I can't for the life of me remember what or if Kyle was penalized after the incident with Harvick last year on pit road.

Edit: Kyle was penalized $25,000, then again so was Harvick.

Nice contrast in behavior between Jeff and Kurt there. We always pine for more emotion from these guys of course but that behavior is borderline psychopathic.

One was on the track the other on pit road, that's a big difference.

Maybe, but it was retaliation at speed, comparable to Kyle Busch's hissy fit at Texas last November. You can not say that's acceptable. Talladega's way too fast for a driver to be exacting revenge on another driver.
