ARCA are supposed to be practicing right now but the track is being dried after a morning rain.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday look fairly decent at the moment but there could be a bit of a threat to the ARCA and Nationwide races. Sunday looks best at the moment.

Nah, this race will just as crazy as all the recent RP races have been. We definitely need a reprieve from the ultra boring races we had recently.

ARCA qualifying got rained out. As a result some fast cars are starting in the back half of the field. Bobby Gerhart is starting 24th, Alex Bowman is starting 26th, Joey Coulter is starting 31st and Mark Thompson is starting 33rd. The starting grid can be found here:

http://www.arcaracing.com/schedule.php?contentid=1615&display=event_grid#details

Brian Keselowski and Jared Marks didn't make the race.

Man, I remember when one of the Dega threads got to page 13 before the first ARCA practice. :(

What i don't understand is the racing in the Bud Shootout was honestly some of the best i've seen in probably 6-7 years, why did the 500 suck so much!!!???

Busch qualifying got canned as well, with Elliott Sadler on the pole. Blake Koch in the 75 DNQ'd.

Good, I'd rather watch practice on ESPN instead of qualifying.

I was being sarcastic. I'm actually glad those days are over, even if it means smaller Dega threads.

So Dega was supposed to get lights? Wonder why it didn't happen?

They'll shuffle the field before green, the slower guys up towards the front will drop to the back.

Jared Marks isn't old enough to race at talladega, ARCA was probably going to let him run a practice lap so he'd get points for entering the race. I think they did a similar thing last year.

I actually have wanted to see a night Talladega race. Not so much now that so many races are at night, but even just a truck or an additional Nationwide race. Would be cool I think.

Talladega at night would look strange. Don't think I'd be a fan, although it would help if rain was causing issues during the day.
