Picture yourself as a Gordon fan this season so far. Then try to calm down.

This fucking sucks.

Not even the finish can salvage this race, sadly. Would make a good HMS battle had Reuti find a better spot to stop his car.

Yeah, it's mostly been a run of shit luck holding him back, because the pace has been there. Frustrating but there's nothing to be alarmed about.

Despite the lack of bump n bang, I was having fun watching the race because my fantasy guys were all kicking so much ass..... until that last restart. F that.

I forgot who but one of the fox guys made a good point. Reutimann was staying out so that he could keep the car in the top 35. Why is that so important? Because this is danica's car. Once nascar realizes that, they will forgive David, pat him on the head and give him an ice cream cone.

Gordon might have been ok if he drove the car down as low as possible on the straightaway right after the restart to shut out Bowyer before he could get alongside but he probably had his hands full just trying to keep it straight with his 100 lap old tires to even think about changing direction. Either way, you gotta feel real bad for him after driving such a fine race. AJ did a hell of a job staying even with Newman. Wish he could've kept it up for two more corners. 'Marty' delivers again.

Reutimann looked like he was about to cry in his interview.

Good.

Starlancer, settle down. You're taking this far too seriously.

Well, the kicker for me is that I watched the whole race until with 50 laps to go, I had to pick up the wife at work. So, I picked up the work phone (which I never use to "surf", but I figured why not, Jeff might catch Jimmie), and kept refreshing the standings page on NASCAR's mobile site.

The lap ticker said 498 when Jeff actually caught and passed Jimmie, and as I'm sitting in the car, waiting for to get off work, I whooped and hollered when I saw "Lap 500" arrive, and he was still up front. Then I saw "Lap 502"... oh shit, I thought, here we go.

I refreshed once more, and saw that that was indeed not the way the race ended. I was pretty damn bummed out, and I haven't even gone back to re-watch any of it.

This year has sucked pretty bad, but I can't help but laugh at today. Yeah, you can hate Reutimann all you want, but at the end of the day, isn't there a dumb mistake you've made somewhere down the road that you wished like hell you didn't make? I'd hate to be in Reuty's shoes right now. The guy has the skill - he did win in effing MWR equipment - but is probably shouldering a bit too much blame for today's clusterfudge.

Now, Ryan Newman on the other hand... excellent work, dipshit. These cars are like battering rams, and you get guys running so far over their heads, it's not even funny. Newman can gargle my balls, as far as I'm concerned.

Ahhhhh, there. Had to get it off my chest. The 24 will get there eventually, because they're running really well. Can't be too upset, and you kinda have to laugh about it, at this point. lol

Saw this on twitter... How is the 10 staying out any different than the 5 going out and staying on track knowing you're blowing up?

Some people just need to adjust their panties.

To be fair, did the 5 *know* he was gonna blow up? I was in another room when it went down, and seeing as how it happened during stops, I thought he messed up the transmission. That doesn't exactly always lead to the engine letting go.

Reutimann is 36th in Owner points.. 1 point behind the 83 for the top 35. I don't blame him for trying to limp it around to the end.

Just watched the end. Chris Myers is the ultimate douchebag for repeatedly trying to bait Michael Waltrip into criticizing his "ex employee" Reutiman .
